Katie's Blogging By Herself!

Hello out there! Anybody reading me? If you are, click the comment box at the bottom of this post and please say "hi" or something...Katie is sitting at the computer alone, waiting to see if you will appear...

Any of you subscribe to NCTE inbox? Listed in this week's articles is a piece about 21st century literacies, and it includes goals stating that readers and writers should:

Develop proficiency with the tools of technology;
Build relationships with others to pose and solve problems collaboratively and cross-culturally;
Design and share information for global communities to meet a variety of purposes;
Manage, analyze, and synthesize multiple streams of simultaneous information;
Create, critique, analyze, and evaluate multi-media texts;
Attend to the ethical responsibilities required by these complex environments.

And so, my friends, even Katie is moving forward...or at least trying to...

Oh, Katie, I am so sorry you are waiting for a response :-(
I have been so busy I haven't even checked the blog site. You should see my two new puppies, they are nuts. Everytime I look out into the backyard they are chewing on something new or digging in a new spot. I have no flowers left (thank goodness it is the end of summer) and they keep laying on my Lirope. That really upsets me. You surely do not do that do you?? I may need to get some tips from you to share with Suzie and Maxine before they start chewing themselves into the house. I am so goad Judy is a little older and not into that chewing and digging phase.
Better run and get supper started. I'll talk to you soon.

Sorry now that I reread my post (the one time I don't do preview first) it should say I am here, but I am listening (can one listen when they read, I think so)so maybe the hear was correct (in my mind).

Oh, Elsie and Doodoo, thanks for the comments. What a joy to get a response. (Elsie, we DON'T grade the blog...really!I'm so glad you're on!)

So...Jennifer, tonight I came home from going over to the kids for dinner, and what did I find? Well, little Miss Katie, who is on a diet, opened the cabinet that I forgot to lock and helped herself to an entire loaf of bread...And so it goes...

Oh, Elsie...I just looked over the comments again after my first response to you guys, and I just have to say that you are so right about the word choice of "hear"...because it is so natural to say "I hear you" and "I'm talking on our blog spot" because that's how it feels, isn't it?
